We’re excited to announce that our first Lake to Plate masterclass will take place in spring 2016.

Join celebrity chef and local food guru Stephanie Moon and our friendly expert fisherman Jeff Metcalfe for a fantastic day of food and fishing in the wonderful surroundings of the Yorkshire Dales.

The relaxed day will guide you through the essentials of preparing fish, help you to learn the basics of fly fishing (it’s addictive we promise you!) and the day will finish with a delicious al fresco meal using the finest local produce. There will also be a chance to learn about smoking foods in the on-site smokehouse.

We guarantee that you will relax and have plenty of laughs along the way, in the warm Yorkshire company of Steph and Jeff. It’s the ideal gift for that foodie friend or loved one in your life.

The venue: Kilnsey Park Estate in the Yorkshire Dales is renowned for the quality of its fishing. The Estate hosts one of the country’s oldest fishing clubs and has fish ponds dating back to the 1200s when the monks of Fountains Abbey owned the area.

The experts:

Stephanie Moon is a well-known figure on the Yorkshire food scene with many accolades to her credit, including Yorkshire Life magazine Chef of the Year, Deliciously Yorkshire Champion, and  a Bronze medal winner in the National British Culinary Federation Chef of the Year Competition. As well as being a regular demonstrator at food shows, Stephanie has also made appearances on both radio and television including Channel 5 “Street Market Chefs” and BBC’s Great British Menu.

Jeff Metcalfe provides friendly and professional fly fishing coaching across Yorkshire. Jeff is Head Coach for the Angling Trust – England Talent Pathway (Northern Region).
