Welcome to the latest fishing report for Kilnsey Park fishing lakes.
As the weather has finally cooled, the fish at Kilnsey are continuing to show consistently on the top, head-and-tailing throughout the day and seemingly taking very small buzzers.
These educated fish are proving to be a challenge for even the most seasoned anglers, with the best results coming to very small flies such as buzzers and very small (down to size 18) dry flies. Suspender flies that fish just in the surface film have also been taking fish, with one of our big brownies of around 13lb falling to this technique last week.
We’ll be adding some fresh fish to both the lakes this week (4-11 Nov), which should further add to the sport.
Just as a reminder to all, the lakes will be closed on Mondays from now until Easter 2027 but will be open from 7:30 – dusk on every other day. Book your tickets online here to ensure you secure a spot so you can have a crack at these free-rising browns and rainbows.
Tight lines and happy casts, the Kilnsey fishery team.
