To prepare for the Troutmaster fish-off we held on Friday 21st Feb, we gave the lakes an extra stocking of Blues and 6 to 12lb rainbows, and although 3 big fish were hooked, no one quite managed to get one to the bank.
We have though had two at 9lb, a few 7’s, and two doubles out on the Thursday and over the weekend – see the pics below.
The mild weather has kept the fish very active recently and the catch rate has kept quite high throughout the last week, though we are stocking aging Tuesday (tomorrow) to top back up after a very busy weekend.
