One of the most unique aspects of a wedding at Kilnsey Park is the freedom it offers you to curate the wedding of your dreams.
From small and intimate to grand and lavish, your day can be exactly as you imagine it to be. You will have exclusive use of our land throughout your hire period, including the hand built oak gazebo in Ceremony Field. We can also supply covered hay bales for your guests to use as seating.
If you’re looking for a more managed service, three of our favourite suppliers are happy to provide for everything your wedding might need, with set options at a fixed price. We have also listed a wedding planner service if you want some logistical support whilst retaining your creative input.
Choosing a vicar, registrar or celebrant is one of the first and most important decisions to make. All those we have included on our list have previously conducted ceremonies at Kilnsey Park and come highly recommended.
Additionally, we can recommend reputable local suppliers who offer a wide range of temporary structures from marquees, yurt and tipis to camping and glamping accommodation including all the practical conveniences you might need. This list also contains details of local florists, hair and beauty specialists, photographers and transport.
Recommended catering, bar and drinks suppliers and staff are also provided, with special emphasis placed on those which source seasonal, locally reared and grown produce and have excellent ethical credentials.
Once you have booked your wedding with us we will provide you with our extensive supplier list, packed with suppliers that we have worked with previously and are happy to recommend.
In over five years of hosting weddings at Kilnsey, we’re pleased to report that it’s been very rare for the weather to spoil a fantastic celebration. However we’re great believers in being prepared for all eventualities, which is why we have written the ultimate guide to smiling through a wet wedding as well as having a special contingency plan for moving the ceremony indoors if required. It’s particularly important to make sure your guests are prepared for all weathers so we’ve drawn up a short How To guide that you can send to everyone in advance.
We’re very proud to be one of the greenest wedding venues in the country and by green we don’t just mean grass and trees (although we’re fortunate to have that in abundance) – hosting eco-friendly and sustainable weddings, and supporting like-minded suppliers, is our aim and purpose.
We want you to be part of looking after this amazing landscape, which is why we have come up with a list of ways your wedding can look after the earth without costing it.
