Barn on the Green is a lovingly restored traditional stone barn sleeping two guests in the heart of the ancient village of Kilnsey. Perfect for couples seeking a peaceful escape, adventures in the great outdoors and exploring the charming attractions of the Yorkshire Dales.

This charming cottage overlooks a beautiful fishing lake where you can catch your own dinner and is perfectly placed to explore the wonderful Dales countryside. The spacious open plan kitchen / living area with solid oak worktops and beamed ceiling is perfect for curling up with a good book or watching the wall-mounted smart TV whilst you relax on the sofa. Upstairs there is a large bedroom with a king size bed (plus the option of an additional bed for an extra guest at a small additional charge). The en-suite bathroom has a shower and we take pride in offering good quality towels and bedding. We aspire to be as eco-friendly as possible and use green cleaning products.

Outside there is a patio area with a wood-burning Chimenea so you can sit back and enjoy the afternoon sunshine with spectacular views of the Dales across the lake. Kilnsey is in the Yorkshire Dales designated Dark Sky area, so perfect for stargazing at night.

With everything accessible from your front door, all you need to do is step outside to explore and enjoy the best of the Yorkshire Dales, including fabulous nature walks and picturesque bike rides to Malham Tarn, the Pennine Way and beyond. The local village pub which serves a hearty meal and local ales is only a stone’s throw away. If you’re feeling energetic you can play on our private tennis court half a mile away (we can provide tennis rackets and balls) or if you prefer to relax and watch the world go by then why not book a peaceful horse ride beside the river. Parking is available outside for one car. Fishing or visiting Kilnsey Park Estate is just a few minutes’ walk away and we offer a 10% discount for any fishing or visitor activity.
