Tour de France ‘Grand Depart’ Weekend
We are delighted that on Saturday the 5th of July, the first stage of the Tour de France will pass the fishery.
Kilnsey Park Estate is also host to ‘Velofest‘, with camping and events from the Thursday through to Sunday the 6th, which is on the same fields used to host the famous annual Kilnsey Show.
During this time, the roadside bank will be closed to fishing for obvious safety reasons, but the fishery will remain fully open with extended opening times.
Extended Opening Times
Thursday 3rd, Friday 4th and Saturday 5th: 7am to 8.30pm
Sunday 6th: 7am to 7pm
Parking
On the days above we will be charging £5 for parking, but this will be refunded when you spend £15 in the shop, which covers almost all fishing tickets.
From Friday 4th at 4pm until Saturday at 6am we will be charging £10 for parking, and the car-park will remain open all through the night for those wishing to visit us and watch the race on Saturday.
Road closure Saturday 5th July
Please note that the only road to Kilnsey by car will be closed from around 5am on Saturday in advance of the tour passing at about 1pm. It will re-open later in the afternoon.
So if you want to visit, fish and see the race on the Saturday you will need to turn up sometime overnight, or very early Saturday am.
Booking
There is no need to book to fish on any of the days.
