We’re considering a possible change to how we operate here at Kilnsey fishery – and we want to get your thoughts.
Currently we sell a variety of fishing tickets both with and without fish (eg catch & release, 1 fish, 2 fish etc). Alternatively in future we could just sell half day and full day catch and release tickets, and if you want to take a fish home then you would pay for it separately at the end. Rather than costing by weight there would be a standard fee for each fish, similar to how our Family Pond currently operates.
We want to make very clear that the intention is not to make your fishing day at Kilnsey any more expensive – the cost would be equivalent to the existing system.
It’s just an idea at the moment and the existing ticket types have worked well for decades but we think the new way of doing things could provide anglers with more flexibility to take the number of fish that you want, and importantly it will mean that you will never pay for fish that you don’t catch.
So what do you think?
