Golden Trout Back Again
As promised we stocked a couple of 8 to 10lb Goldies after our clear-out in late October, and we have more ready to go in.
These fish are extremely hard to come by as very few farms breed them any more. To grow well they need to be treated more like pets than farmed fish, and then still grow very slowly.
The ones we are stocking now have been hand fed twice daily here at Kilnsey for 4 years!!, so you can see why we don’t allow Golden Trout to be taken.
Although we always appreciate your pictures, please be as careful as possible with these fish and most importantly get them back into the water within 8 seconds.
