Kilnsey Park’s Family Fishing Pond offers a unique first fishing experience for all the family. Situated in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales, it’s perfect for that refreshing ‘back to nature’ feeling and a great way for parents to bond with the children in a relaxed and safe location.

It couldn’t be more simple to fish with us. All you need to do is turn up and our helpful staff will provide you with all the tackle, bait and instruction needed, so you can get fishing straight away.

We keep the pond very well stocked with our home grown rainbow trout, so we can almost guarantee you will catch a fish (and in the unlikely event you don’t it’s only a short walk to our well-stocked fish counter in the shop).

Afterwards we clean the fish so you don’t have to. When you leave they are ready to cook – to make things even easier, we provide a free leaflet on how to cook them.

Please note that we operate on a ‘catch and keep’ basis only, so you must take and pay for the fish you catch.

Tickets can be purchased on the day and at busy times customers may be limited to one hour. Our fish processing service finishes at 4pm so if you want your fish to be cleaned they must be caught by then.

IMPORTANT: You must have a fishing licence to fish on our Family Pond. These are free for your visit but you must fill in a form on arrival to obtain one, or scan a QR code.
